  3. 18. Nov. 2020 · Speedo cable stuck in speedo drive. by Spider124guy » Mon Dec 14, 2020 11:04 pm. Removed the knurled ferrel on the speedo drive to release the speedo cable. No luck. Applied much force to try and coax the cable out. Still no luck. Doing an R&R on my 1984 Spider. Is this common?

  4. This is how I believe you remove the lock cylinder, but I have tried it unsuccessfully on two ignition switches with no keys, in an effort to rekey them as you can with door, glovebox, and trunk locks. There is a pressed in pin on the side of the switch that needs to be drilled out.

  7. I'm slowly learning more and more about how to work on my 1980 Fiat Spider. The only woe I have right now is that the speedometer/odometer aren't working. I'm ordering a replacement speedometer cable from International Autoparts. Are these easy to install? I should also mention that I have an automatic transmission. Thanks all. Quinn Costello

März 2011 · The clock is probably still wired up. one clock in 100 works. there is a u-bracket holding the gage in. remove that and the gage falls out. now is the tricky part. to remove the bezel, you have to carefully bend the bezel ring crimp so the ring can be removed. check the fiat sources to see if anyone has new bezels.
