Mick Clarke (born 12 July 1950) is a British blues rock and pop rock guitarist and songwriter based in Surrey, England. [1] He is a founding member of the British band Killing Floor. [2] [3] He also co-founded SALT in 1975 and The Mick Clarke Band in the early 1980s. [4]

Originally performing in a blues band known as The Loop, Killing Floor founder members Mick Clarke (lead guitar) and Bill Thorndycraft (vocals/harmonica) formed the band in 1968 in London, England, after placing an advertisement in Melody Maker.
British blues guitarist Mick Clarke began his career with KILLING FLOOR, part of the British blues boom of the late 1960s and contemporaries of Free, Black Sabbath and Led Zeppelin. The band backed Texas blues guitar star Freddie King and toured with legends Howlin' Wolf and Otis Spann.
