Mohsen Sazegara (Persian: محسن سازگارا; born 5 January 1955) is an Iranian journalist and pro-democracy political activist. He was the founder of IRGC (Iran Revolutionary Guard Corps) after the revolution in 1979. He held several offices in the Government of Mir-Hossein Mousavi.
Mohsen Sazegara is a former activist and aide of Ayatollah Khomeini in the Islamic Revolution of Iran. He is also a journalist, a reformist, and a visiting scholar at various institutions in the US.
Mohsen Sazegara, 55, zählte vor dreißig Jahren zu den treuesten Gefährten von Ayatollah Ruhollah Khomeini, er begleitete den Revolutionsführer von dessen Pariser Exil aus nach Teheran.
6. Mai 2024 · Mohsen Sazegara, a non-resident scholar with MEI’s Iran Program, was one of the group’s founders and a member of its first board of commanders. He later became a journalist and a reformist political activist. He was arrested and imprisoned four times before ultimately leaving Iran.
