Juli 2018 · Coming from Frankfurt central station, one would usually take the S-Bahn (and not a "regular" regional train) to the airport as they run more often (1 regular train/hour vs. 4 S-Bahn trains). Since the S-Bahn leaves from the lower floor and IIRC the trains are announced on separate boards, I think it's worth mentioning them explicitly.

  9. Just took one yesterday, and it took me 15 minutes. If you use the free official airport shuttle running outside (which you have to do since you have luggage), it will take you up to 30 minutes, from the point you left the doors of terminal 1 to the point you entered the door of terminal 2.
