Hey @jbeick @Parallelofam. In this situation, I would recommend to also delete the unwanted DirectX files. Just head to the same directory: Origin Games\Need for Speed Payback\__Installer\directx\redist and delete all the files from there except for DSETUP.dll, dsetup32.dll, DXSETUP.exe. Let me know if that helped.

Can you temporarily disable any antivirus software and manually run the following file as an Administrator (right click, run as admin): Origin Games\Need for Speed Payback\__Installer\directx\redist\DXSETUP.exe. You could also do the same with the three vcredist files too.

@EstoniaNumberOne. Hey man. If you have the issue where it says something about the cloud saves and then for 2 seconds NFS Payback process appears in task manager, then the solution is simple (works for most people, but not for everyone).
Hello I bought Need For Speed Payback on disc and will not let me download, it gets to 13.088 gb of the 17 gb download and then exits download screen and comes up with pause button on the app and i am unable to complete the download. I have rebooted my PS4 and attempted to download it again , with the same results.
