  2. Elective placements at UCL enable visiting students to broaden their clinical method and management experience, refine their communication and analytic skills, and continue their professional development. Our electives involve hands-on contact with patients.

  3. Undertake an elective placement and enhance your clinical skills. Gain hands on clinical experience, broaden your specialised knowledge, and develop your clinical and patient care skills with our leading expert medical educators with an elective placement at one of our six clinical schools across Sydney.

  4. The application window for elective placements between September 2024 - August 2025 has now closed. Oxford is an exciting and stimulating place to study and live in. We welcome Elective medical students from other universities in the UK and overseas.

  5. The School of Medicine, in conjunction with our partner NHS hospitals, is able to consider applications for clinical attachment elective study periods. Due to high numbers of applications, Clinical Elective placements are restricted to a maximum period of six weeks per student and only one placement per student.

  6. 2. Apr. 2024 · Your elective placement. During your elective placement, you are given a clinical supervisor and you will join their clinical team in the ward or unit to observe and shadow their clinical practice.

  7. The Elective placement will take place at the John Radcliffe Hospital. Elective placements run for a minimum of 4 and a maximum of 8 weeks. Elective students must participate with Oxford students and be supervised. Elective students will spend time in theatre, outpatient clinics and on the wards.
