2. Okt. 2023 · "Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze" in my opinion is probably the greatest 2D platformer ever made. One of the best soundtracks ever made too, No big surprise seeing how OG composer of Rare's Donkey Kong Country series David Wise returned to score it.

Obligatory Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze is out in NA! I’ve been playing for the last 30 minutes and have had a blast. Wish I had more time to play but it’s off to bed for work in the AM. 6. März 2018 · The level design is so deep and well thought out, with concepts that are interwoven and recurring between different levels for different effects. The game feel is great. DK feels as heavy as he looks, but it doesn’t come off as unfair. The music is also fucking great. 83% is pretty low for this game.

Yooka Laylee and the Impossible Lair is also on Switch which is a 2D Platformer made by some of the same people who made the original DKC games. It feels a lot like a mix of the old DKC games with inspiration from Tropical Freeze.
