2. Aug. 2021 · FTDNA has started a Summer Sale, starting today, Monday 2 August, and going through until Tuesday, 31 August. There is sale pricing on Y-DNA, mtDNA, and Family Finder tests, for single products, bundles, and upgrades. The link to the sale is on the FTDNA home page (https://www.familytreedna.com).
14. Feb. 2024 · Just say an individual does a DNA test with Ancestry. Gets the ethnic origins results. Then decides to upload the DNA File to My Heritage and gets the origins. Alternatively, just say an individual decides to not upload the DNA File to My Heritage. Instead purchases the My Heritage kit, does the cheeks swab and sends it off for processing.

I have a raw dna data file from an outside dna testing company that needs to be converted to an ancestry.com format. I was told by the company they only provide data in a format acceptable by gedmatch. Of course, I'd like to have access to ethnicity estimates, etc.

14. Jan. 2024 · On July 1, 2021 FTDNA introduced a new format and algorithms for Y-STR and Family Finder databases. Prior to that date, match lists were recalculated and dated as of April or May, 2021. Other than old download lists, I dont know how you can tell how old a match is. On every Jan 1, I download everything (from every site).

If you go to the Customer Support page (link at top right), just below the "Open a Request" link are the words "Contact Us," which when hovered over show the hours for phone support (M-F only) and the same phone number as mentioned above.
Thank you. I wanted to add Ancestry's results because I had matches on there that didn't come up in my Family Tree DNA since they only tested with Ancestry and they haven't loaded their results to GEDmatch. They are a high match at 1,814 centimorgans shared across 51 DNA segments. I'm adopted and know my maternal side but not my paternal and ...
