26. Sept. 2024 · She was no Heather Roebuck. I do love her as the innocent girl in “Room at the Top,” who discovers the joys of sex with Laurence Harvey. Per Wikipedia, she reduced her work schedule one she had married and had three sons. She did TV and some theater but no movies. Once her boys had grown she did a lot of regional theater.
20. Mai 2022 · Jean Simmons was robbed of a nomination for Elmer Gantry - she is great in the film, as she always was. She deserved more than 2 nominations in her career but it is still better than most actresses get. Home Before Dark was another Jean Simmons performance that should have gained her a nomination. by Anonymous.

28. Sept. 2022 · Terence Stamp. Terence Stamp. One of the young good looking British actors of the 1960's. He dated actresses like Julie Christie, Monica Vitti, and Jean Shrimpton. He starred in 1960's classics like Billy Budd, The Collector, and Far from the Madding Crowd. Then nothing substantial until Superman in 1978.
21. Aug. 2022 · Faye Dunaway as Milady de Winter in "The Three Musketeers" Linda Fiorentino in "The Last Seduction" Kathleen Turner in "Serial Mom". Those are indeed two great performances in "The Three Musketeers" and "Serial Mom," but neither of those films qualify as film noir. Serial Mom, everyone’s favorite film noir.
21. Aug. 2018 · Rich Man, Poor Man and The Thorn Birds still goes down as the two best mini-series TV has ever offered. Jean Simmons played in both The Thorn Birds and North & South. I think Stacy Keach was in The Blue an the Gray. They did make the third book into a television version, but the bloom was off the rose.

Sept. 2024 · Luchino Visconti filmed a tragic opera about anti-Semitism, money, murder, sex, suicide, drugs, homosexuality, incest, and a myriad of other salacious ongoings with a well to do German family. The ensemble includes Ingird Thulin, Helmut Griem, Helmut Berger, Charlotte Rampling, and Dirk Bogarde. Okay r15 you made me think of VILLAGE OF THE DAMNED.
