29. Sept. 2024 · Onsen Baths: Many ryokan in Hida Takayama have onsen (natural hot spring) baths, where guests can relax in mineral-rich waters. Yukata: Guests are provided with yukata, a casual cotton kimono, to wear during their stay.
Takayama Onsen is located in Hida-Takayama, which is a popular tourist destination known as “Little Kyoto”, and is near the UNESCO World Heritage Site “Historic Villages of Shirakawa-go and Gokayama”. A type of high-class Japanese cattle (wagyu) beef called “Hida Beef” is a local specialty.
There are even two private Onsen available free of charge (min. 2 people). The rooms are very beautiful and quiet and you’ve got the opportunity to wear Yukata during your stay. We can highly recommend and would love to come back!
