The fact that it floated on the stock market in the late 80s and became a ‘group’ underlined the ambition, drive, vision and sincerity of the label’s founders, Chris Wright and Terry Ellis.

Terry Ellis (born 14 August 1943, Welwyn Garden City, Hertfordshire, England), is an English record producer and manager who worked with the early Jethro Tull band, and as co-founder of music company Chrysalis Records in 1969.
Als Chrysalis Records mit der Idee zu einem zweiten Albumvideo konfrontiert wurde, lag Vienna bereits auf Platz zwei der britischen Singlecharts. Das Label erkannte nur zögerlich die Gelegenheit zur weltweiten Promotion, sodass die Bandmitglieder gezwungen waren, die Produktionskosten von etwa 6000 Britischen Pfund vorzufinanzieren.
