Die International Standard Classification of Education (ISCED) der UNESCO klassifiziert und charakterisiert Schultypen und Schulsysteme. Sie unterscheidet mehrere Ebenen (Level) und eignet sich auch für die Angabe des Bildungsniveaus (des höchsten Bildungsabschlusses) im internationalen Vergleich.
