Solvychegodsk (Russian: Сольвычего́дск, lit. 'salt on the Vychegda') is a town in Kotlassky District of Arkhangelsk Oblast , Russia , located on the right-hand bank of the Vychegda River , about 25 kilometers (16 mi) northeast of Kotlas , the administrative center of the district.

Solvychegodsky Uyezd ( Russian: Сольвычегодский уезд) was one of the subdivisions of the Vologda Governorate of the Russian Empire. It was situated in the northern part of the governorate. Its administrative centre was Solvychegodsk.
