Sage und schreibe 25 Jahre sind vergangen, seit das legendäre Album »Buena Vista Social Club« des gleichnamigen Musikprojektes erschien. Das Album wurde 1996 in nur sieben Tagen in Havannas EGREM-Studios aus den 1950er-Jahren aufgenommen.
Das bis heute meistverkaufte Weltmusikalbum inspirierte u. a. Wim Wenders zu seinem erfolgreichen Film über Kubas Musikerlegenden. Nachdem im Oktober letzten Jahres das Album erstmalig auf Vinyl veröffentlicht wurde, gibt es nun auch die CD neu als Hardcover-Medienbuch im CD-Format mit 48-seitigem Booklet.
