Join one of the nation’s top accounting programs. For more than 50 years, Broad’s Department of Accounting and Information Systems has been the state’s largest provider of certified public accountants (CPAs).
Accounting Services operates the statewide MAIN accounting system to pay vendors for goods and services; MDE staff for travel (including maintenance of records for state permanently assigned vehicles); and other state agencies for services provided.
The Department of Accounting and Information Systems provides a Bachelor of Arts degree with a major in accounting. The program provides an excellent foundation in accounting.
The MSU undergraduate program in accounting is in the top 25 nationally, as ranked by U.S. News & World Report. The accounting major program is Michigan's largest educator of certified public accountants and is endorsed by the Institute of Management Accountants.
