Geschichte. In den 1840er-Jahren, nachdem mit dem South Pass eine einfache Möglichkeit zur Überquerung der Rocky Mountains entdeckt worden war, begann über den Oregon Trail die Besiedlung des Pazifischen Nordwestens.
