Many would wonder as to who created these characters but only a few would know that these imperishable characters were created by none other but Imtiaz Ali Taj. Imtiaz Ali Taj belonged to a family of luminaries.
Syed Imtiaz Ali Taj (Urdu: سیّد امتیاز علی تاؔج ; Sayyid Imtiyāz ʿAlī Tāj; 1900–1970) was a dramatist who wrote in the Urdu language. He is specially famous for his play Anarkali (1922) about the life and love of the dancing-girl of Mughal times, Anarkali. [1]
13. Okt. 2022 · Imtiaz Ali Taj was stabbed multiple times in his Lahore home at midnight on 19 April 1970. While he survived the consequent surgery, he succumbed to his wounds eventually. His assassins could never be traced or identified.
