James Watt, Jr., FRS (5 February 1769 – 2 June 1848) was a British engineer, businessman and activist.
Kurzbiografie, Lebenslauf, Steckbrief und Literaturempfehlungen zum schottischen Erfinder: James Watt.
James Watt [d͡ʒe̯ɪmz wɔt] (* 19. Januar jul. / 30. Januar 1736 greg. in Greenock; † 25.
James Watt jr. (1769-1848) left correspondence, especially from his father, giving information about his training in business skills in France and Germany; some records of his time as foreign agent in Italy for a textile firm in Manchester; notebooks recording the progress of his first paddle steamer on a journey down the Rhine in 1817 ...
The unpublished letters of James Watt junior to his father, the great engineer, show what the pull of different loyalties meant to a young man of the time who was involved both in England and France in the most critical political situations.
