Jean-Baptiste Baron de Nothomb (* 3. Juli 1805 in Messancy / Provinz Luxemburg; † 16. September 1881 in Berlin) war ein belgischer Staatsmann und Diplomat. Nach dem Besuch des Athenaeums in Luxemburg studierte Nothomb in Lüttich Jura und Cameralia und ließ sich als Rechtsanwalt in Brüssel nieder.
Jean-Baptiste Nothomb (Messancy, 3 juillet 1805 – Berlin, 16 septembre 1881) est un homme politique belge d'origine luxembourgeoise et de tendance libérale. Fervent partisan de l'unionisme, il a été chef de gouvernement de 1841 à 1845.

20. Sept. 1999 · Si les racines familiales connues remontent au XIV e siècle, la véritable saga des Nothomb commence en 1805, à Messancy, avec la naissance de Jean-Baptiste. Docteur en droit 21 ans plus tard, il s'inscrit au barreau de Luxembourg. En 1829, il crée à Bruxelles la «Gazette des tribunaux» et suit de près l'insurrection naissante.
