John Standish Surtees Prendergast Vereker, 6. Viscount Gort, VC, GCB, CBE, DSO, MVO, MC (* 10. Juli 1886 in London; † 31. März 1946 in London), meist Lord Gort genannt, war ein britischer Feldmarschall.
Prior to Woolwich, he succeeded his father as the 6th Viscount Gort (Peerage of Ireland). He graduated from the military academy in 1905 and was commissioned in the Grenadier Guards in Jul of that year.

Viscount Gort, Peerage of the United Kingdom. John Vereker, the sixth Viscount, was the great-grandson of his namesake. Following the establishment of the Irish Free State in 1922 the family chose to emigrate and settle in County Durham.
John Standish Surtees Prendergast Vereker, more familiarly known as Jack, was born in London. He succeeded as 6th Viscount Gort – an Irish peerage – on his father’s death in 1902.
