Ramón Novarro; eigentlich Ramón Gil Samaniego (* 6. Februar 1899 in Durango, Mexiko; † 30. Ramón Gil Samaniego (February 6, 1899 – October 30, 1968), known professionally as Ramon Novarro, was a Mexican actor. He began his career in American silent films in 1917 and eventually became a leading man and one of the top box-office attractions of the 1920s and early 1930s.

Se le reconoce como uno de los grandes Latin Lover del cine mudo estadounidense, así también como por ser el primer actor latinoamericano en triunfar en Hollywood .
Ramon Novarro was a Mexican-born actor who starred in silent and early sound films, such as Ben-Hur and Mata Hari. He was murdered in 1968 by two hustlers who mistook his home for a bank.
