Berkeley Summer Sessions is open to a wide variety of students including UC Berkeley degree-seeking students, students from other UC campuses, visiting students from around the U.S. and the world as well as the general public.

Online learning opportunities through Summer Sessions allow you maximum flexibility with your study schedule. You can take a course with your favorite professor, satisfy degree requirements, or even make progress toward select summer minor or certificate programs. Summer Sessions offers more than 600 courses each summer, in a wide variety of disciplines. Courses are offered over seven different sessions of varying lengths—the first session usually begins towards the end of May, and all sessions have ended by mid-August.
