Peterhouse provide some of the best rooms in Cambridge and at a wide range of rents. Students are able to take advantage of our outstanding facilities and support, both academic and extra-curricular, and our large grounds allow plenty of space, indoors and out, to relax and feel at home.
Peterhouse is the oldest constituent college of the University of Cambridge in England, founded in 1284 by Hugh de Balsham, Bishop of Ely. Peterhouse has around 300 undergraduate and 175 graduate students, and 54 fellows.
English at Peterhouse. Our primary role, as the English Fellows at Peterhouse, is to guide and advise our students as they pursue a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to immerse themselves in books and reflect on the endless questions which the written word poses. There are no limits to this canvas.
Just 5 minutes’ walk from the city centre, Peterhouse is an exciting and friendly place to live. It’s perfectly situated for student life – close to the arts, engineering and science faculties, but just off the tourist trail.
