Amsterdam is a well-connected city and trains running through the whole of the Netherlands stop here. Traveling by train is best if you want to explore the rest of the country; going to another city shouldn’t take more than three hours. Trains also run to other major European cities, mainly in France, Belgium and northern Germany.
