Celine M. (Mirjam) van Praag (Schiedam, 11 november 1967) is een Nederlands econometrist en kroonlid van de Sociaal-Economische Raad. Zij was voorzitter van het College van Bestuur bij de Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam .
Mirjam van Praag is professor of Entrepreneurship and Leadership at the department of Management and Organisation of the Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam. Before joining the School of Business and Economics she was the president of the Management Board of the Vrije Universiteit.
4. Sept. 2023 · The Presidency of Mirjam van Praag: in retrospect. Share. 4 September 2023. In 2018, Mirjam van Praag took over from Jaap Winter as the new President of the Executive Board of VU Amsterdam. After an almost six-year term, she is about to step down.
She has served as a non-executive member on various boards, both in the public and the private sector. Mirjam was the founding director of the Amsterdam Center for Entrepreneurship. Mirjam van Praag was trained an econometrician (MSc and Phd UvA). She joined IZA as a Research Fellow in August 2006.
