Francisco Javier López Álvarez, dit Patxi López, né le 4 octobre 1959 à Portugalete, est un homme politique espagnol, membre du Parti socialiste ouvrier espagnol (PSOE). En 1987, âgé de moins de trente ans, il entre au Congrès des députés , où il siège deux ans, puis devient, en 1991, député au Parlement basque .
Diputado en el Parlamento Vasco desde 1.991. En diciembre de 2.000 es reelegido como Secretario General del PSE-EE (PSOE) de Bizkaia. Miembro del Comité Federal del PSOE y el 23 de marzo de 2002 es elegido Secretario General de los Socialistas Vascos en el Congreso Extraordinario celebrado en San Sebastián.
