Jean Tiberi (* 30. Januar 1935 in Paris) ist ein französischer Politiker ( UDR, RPR, UMP ). Er war von 1968 bis 2012 Mitglied der Nationalversammlung und von 1995 bis 2001 Bürgermeister von Paris. Von 1983 bis 1995 und erneut von 2001 bis 2014 war er Bezirksbürgermeister des Pariser 5. Arrondissements .

In the 5th arrondissement, mayor Jean Tiberi, his wife Xavière Tiberi and alleged accomplices were put under formal investigation. According to the instruction, 7,228 people were fraudulently registered in the 5th arrondissement in 1997 and 3,315 of them voted when Jean Tiberi was elected deputy with 2,725 votes more than his opponent.

The 2001 Paris Municipal Elections were held on the 11th and 18 March 2001, alongside many other municipal elections throughout France, to elect the Mayor of Paris. Incumbent Mayor Jean Tiberi faced Bertrand Delanoë of the Socialist Party, a Paris councilor and member of the Senate.
