History. Objective. References. World Kindness Day is an international observance on 13 November. It was introduced in 1998 by the World Kindness Movement, a coalition of nations' kindness NGOs. It is observed in many countries, including Canada, Australia, Nigeria and the United Arab Emirates. Singapore observed the day for the first time in 2009.

Max Ernst created these collages in 1933 with the intention of publishing them in the form of a novel – A Week of Kindness – right at the moment when Europe was faced with the challenge of totalitarianism with Hitler’s rise to power.
Kindness is a type of behavior marked by acts of generosity, consideration, rendering assistance, or concern for others, without expecting praise or reward in return. It is a subject of interest in philosophy, religion, and psychology.
