Abra Prentice Wilkin (born July 30, 1942) is an American philanthropist. She is the daughter of John Rockefeller Prentice (1902–1972) and his wife, Abbie Cantrill Prentice. Wilkin is a great-granddaughter of Standard Oil tycoon John D. Rockefeller (1839–1937).

It is one of the top birthing centers in the U.S. and among the pet institutions which Abra supports.
Abra Prentice Wilkin (born July 30, 1942) is an American philanthropist. She is the daughter of John Rockefeller Prentice (1902–1972) and his wife, Abbie Cantrill Prentice. Wilkin is a great-granddaughter of Standard Oil tycoon John D. Rockefeller (1839–1937).
(Starting in late 1973, the formerly New Chicago Foundation-published Chicago magazine changed its name to the Chicagoan, and was published by the husband-and-wife duo of Jon Anderson and Abra Prentice Wilkin, had Richard Christiansen as its editor for a time, and hit the newsstands with its new name and format in September 1973.

Describing Maxim’s as a “mysterious basement boite,” Wilkin recalled a party when “the fabulous staircase was flooded with roses”: “In the early 1990s, Nancy made it possible for us to have a debutante dinner for our daughter there and the place was filled.
Abra, tall at 5’10, with thick, dark hair, began her career in journalism in 1966 as a fledgling reporter for the Chicago Sun-Times, purportedly being one of the first to cover the story of the murder of eight Chicago nurses by Richard Speck.
