  2. About KubSU. Kuban State University is one of the largest scientific and educational centers in the South of Russia. Founded in September 1920, it has a 100-year history based on the best traditions of classical education and recognized achievements.

  3. History. Kuban State University was opened in Krasnodar on September 5 (19), 1920. Its first Rector was Nikandr A. Marx, a former general in the tsarist army, a prominent historian and a specialist in ancient Russian paleography. At the same time, the Institute of Public Education was also founded.

  4. International. Kuban State University has been training students to live and work both in Russia and foreign countries. Since the 1970/71 academic year, the University has developed a network of foreign partners with more than 80 agreements of cooperation with 70 universities.

  5. In 1980 by the Decree of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR the Institute was awarded the Order of the Red Banner of Labour for its achievements in science and professional training. In November 1993 the Institute was granted university status and was renamed Kuban State Technological University.
