Vor 3 Tagen · Æthelwulf king of the West Saxons granted a 5-hide estate at Minety to Malmesbury abbey, probably in the late 830s. The grant was confirmed in 855. By c. 1199 Malmesbury abbey also possessed the right of patronage to Minety church. In 1270 the abbot and convent surrendered the estate to the bishops of Salisbury.
