Edward „Eddie“ Heywood junior (* 4. Dezember 1915 in Atlanta in Georgia; † 2. Januar 1989 in North Miami) war ein US-amerikanischer Jazzpianist und Komponist des Swing, der mit seinem Sextett in den 1940er Jahren sehr populär war.

After their version of "Begin the Beguine" became a hit in 1944, the group had three successful years. [3] " Begin the Beguine" sold over one million copies, and was awarded a gold disc by the RIAA. [4] In 1947, Heywood was stricken with a partial paralysis of his hands and was unable to perform. [3] . However, he made a comeback in 1951.
