A Place Called Today is a 1972 American drama film written and directed by Don Schain. The film stars J. Herbert Kerr Jr., Lana Wood, Cheri Caffaro, Richard Smedley, Timothy Brown and Peter Carew.
Most reviews listed A Place Called Today as "self-rated X," but the picture, which included some nudity, was not rated by the MPAA. As noted in Hollywood Reporter production charts for the film, A Place Called Today was shot in Newark, N.J. Actress Cheri Caffaro had previously starred as the female sleuth "Ginger" in several 1970s exploitation sex films.
