Sir Aaron Klug OM FRS FMedSci HonFRMS (11 August 1926 – 20 November 2018) was a British biophysicist and chemist. He was a winner of the 1982 Nobel Prize in Chemistry for his development of crystallographic electron microscopy and his structural elucidation of biologically important nucleic acid-protein complexes.

Aaron Klug was a pioneer in the field of structural biology and a pioneer in the development of ‘crystallographic electron microscopy’ to determine the three-dimensional structure of large protein complexes. He also studied the structure of tRNA, the nucleosome, and the zinc-finger DNA-binding module. He passed away on 20 November 2018 at the age of 92.
