L'Académie Julian est une école privée de peinture et de sculpture, fondée à Paris en 1867 par le peintre français Rodolphe Julian (1839-1907).Elle est restée célèbre pour le nombre et la qualité des artistes qui en sont issus au cours de la grande période d'effervescence dans les arts au début du XX e siècle.

Nov. 2013 · Much like successful private art schools today, during the next few decades, until his death in 1907, Rodolphe Julian expanded his educational enterprise, branching out to as many as five locations all over Paris. Art students still attend classes at the Academie Julian (above), located not far from where it was first founded.
