History. The group notion started in 1976, when the four brothers of the Neville family, Art (1937–2019), Charles (1938–2018), Aaron (b. 1941), and Cyril (b. 1948) came together to take part in the recording session of the Wild Tchoupitoulas, a Mardi Gras Indian group led by the Nevilles' uncle, George Landry ("Big Chief Jolly"). Inspired by Lanois' work with the Neville Brothers, it has shuffling beats and beautiful bass lines that mesh perfectly with Lanois' and Aaron Neville's mellifluous vocals. Lanois revised this track for the Willie Nelson album Teatro (Island, 1998).

Acadie is the debut studio album by record producer and singer-songwriter Daniel Lanois, originally released in 1989 by Opal Records and Warner Bros. Records. It was largely written and recorded in the city of New Orleans. Lanois sings on it in both French and English, sometimes on the same track.

Mai 2010 · Of course, "now" is misleading—he's recorded with Brian Eno, and masterfully produced albums by U2 ( The Unforgettable Fire, Joshua Tree ), the Neville Brothers ( Yellow Moon ), and Bob Dylan ( Oh Mercy ). Those studio streets were obviously two-way: Acadie bears healing scars of influence from each collaboration.
