15. Feb. 2011 · Former TURTLES guitarist AL NICHOL has been sentenced to six months in jail for drunken driving while on probation for a previous DUI conviction. The rocker's blood-alcohol level was 0.311 at the time of his May (04) arrest - well above Nevada's legal limit of 0.08, according to court documents.

Al Nichol was born in North Carolina, United States. He is a musician who formed the 1960s Rock group The Turtles in 1963 who were known for their songs "Happy Together" and "She'd Rather Be With Me". He starred as himself in Out Of Sight (1966) and appeared on The Ed Sullivan Show (1967).
