Albine de Montholon was a French aristocrat who married Napoleon's stepson Tristan in 1810 and had a son with him. She was a diplomat and aide-de-camp who accompanied Napoleon to St. Helena and served him faithfully. She was not a murderer, according to some historians, but a devoted Bonapartist who tried to help him escape from captivity.
