Albrecht Ritschl is a leading scholar of economic history and the history of economic thought. He teaches and conducts research on topics such as the history of the economy, the history of the state, the history of the market, the history of the firm, the history of the family, and the history of the state-market interface. He is the author of several influential books and articles, including The Cambridge History of Capitalism, The Cambridge History of the State, and The Cambridge History of the Market.
