Daniel Ivan Hicks was born December 9, 1941 at St. Vincent’s Infirmary in Little Rock, Arkansas. He died peacefully, surrounded by his loved ones, at 12:45 AM, February 6, 2016, at his home in Mill Valley, California, following a two-year battle with throat and liver cancer. Dan was the only child of midwesterners Ivan L. and Evelyn Kehl Hicks.
