Since its musical inception in 1988, Tempest has rendered a rampant hybrid of energetic folk-rock, consisting of Irish roots & reels, Scottish and Norwegian ballads and other world and worldly music elements. Another Dawn, the group’s 15th release and 12th studio album, showcases a band in the full, tidal flood of creative color and texture.
While Another Dawn is a recommended addition to any collection that already holds Turn Of The Wheel, Balance and The Double-Cross, I do not recommend starting your investigation into Tempest with this album. Those other albums are all better places to start and a bit more interesting albums from a Prog perspective.
