16. Apr. 2024 · John took the lyrics for this song from an 1843 circus poster. It has a real circusy sound to it, created in part by George Martin messing about with calliope recordings. On the DVD version of Anthology Martin claimed that he took some tape, cut it into strips, threw them in the air and then spliced them back together in mixed up order.
