Armand Andre Archerd (January 13, 1922 – September 8, 2009) was an American columnist for Variety for over fifty years before retiring his "Just for Variety" column in September 2005. In November 2005, Archerd began blogging for Variety and was working on a memoir when he died.
Army Archerd was a versatile and well-known figure in Hollywood, who appeared in movies, TV shows and hosted awards ceremonies. He was also a journalist and a publicist, and received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.

Army Archerd was an actor and producer, known for Escape from the Planet of the Apes (1971), Burke's Law (1963) and Gable and Lombard (1976). He was married to Selma Archerd and Joan Carol Paul. He died of mesothelioma in 2009. He was awarded a Star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame for Television in 1984.
