Das Repertoire des ersten Albums stammt aus dem Jahr 1995, als sich zwei Mitglieder von Novus Jam, Attila Égerházi und András Sipos (1954–2007), für eine veränderte musikalische Struktur entschieden. Der von Sipos vorgeschlagene Name Djabe ist inspiriert durch das Akan-Wort djabe, das Freiheit bedeutet. [1] .

Attila Egerházi born in Budapest on 1964. He starts his professional studies of classical ballet and contemporary dance at Endre Jeszenszky dance school. Later on, he continued his studies of classical ballet, ballet methodology and contemporary dance at the Hungarian Dance Academy in Budapest.
9. Sept. 2023 · Attila Égerházi ist als Gitarrist, Komponist und Bandleader verantwortlich für den unverwechselbaren Stil der Band auf internationalem Niveau. Mit einer Prise GENESIS: Seit 2007 gibt Djabe regelmäßig gemeinsame Konzerte mit dem ehemaligen Gitarristen von Genesis, Steve Hackett.
