Fitzgerald, Augustus Frederick (1791–1874), 3rd duke of Leinster , grand master of the freemasons of Ireland, was born 21 August 1791 at Carton, Co. Kildare, eldest child of William Robert Fitzgerald (1748–1804), 2nd duke of Leinster, and his wife, Emilia Olivia, daughter of the 1st Baron St George of Hatley St George.

Augustus Frederick Fitzgerald. 3rd Duke of Leinster. He was the son of William Fitzgerald, 2nd Duke of Leinster, and Emilia, Duchess of Leinster. He was born at Carton House. In 1804 his father died, and he became the 3rd Duke of Leinster at the age of 13.
