Avi Lewis is an associate professor in the Geography department at the University of British Columbia, where he teaches and conducts research on social and political change, communication and documentary filmmaking. He is also a co-author of The Leap Manifesto and a co-producer of the animated short films Message from the Future and Message from the Future II: The Years of Repair.

Avi Lewis is an associate professor of geography at UBC, with more than 30 years of experience in journalism and storytelling from the front lines of social movements. He is also a documentary filmmaker and educator, who has co-authored The Leap Manifesto and produced the animated short films Message from the Future and Message from the Future II: The Years of Repair.
