Barts and The London School of Medicine and Dentistry, commonly known as Barts or BL, is a medical and dental school in London, England. The school is part of Queen Mary University of London, a constituent college of the federal University of London, and the United Hospitals.

Barts and The London School of Medicine and Dentistry was formed by the merger of The London Hospital Medical College and St Bartholomew’s Hospital Medical College. This new School subsequently merged with Queen Mary & Westfield College (now Queen Mary University London) in the same year.
Barts and the London School of Medicine and Dentistry is located in Whitechapel (central London) and is one of the multiple prestigious London medical schools. Barts is currently ranked as the 16th best medical school in the UK and the 55th best in the world.

Hello Everyone! Congratulations on receiving your offer to study at Barts and the London School of Medicine and Dentistry. We are all very excited to welcome you all to our wonderful institution and for you to join the BL family. We have produced this FAQ guide for all of you to answer some of the questions from freshers last year.
Barts and The London School of Medicine and Dentistry brings together two venerable teaching institutions: St Bartholomew’s Hospital, which dates back to 1123, and The London Hospital Medical College, founded in 1785 - the oldest medical school in England and Wales.
