Biografie. Mitte der 2000er erlangte Bashy mit seinen Mixtapes in der Londoner Grime-Szene Bekanntheit. Seinen Durchbruch hatte er 2008 mit dem Stück Black Boys. Im selben Jahr folgte Kidulthood to Adulthood, das Titellied aus dem Film Adulthood von Noel Clarke [1]. Es verfehlte knapp die Top 75 der UK-Charts.

26. März 2023 · Ashley Thomas aka Bashy is portraying the role of Jaggers in the new TV adaptation of Charles Dickens’s coming-of-age story Great Expectations which kicks off tonight on BBC One. The 38-year-old actor, from Hammersmith, has climbed the ranks to become a celebrated actor after throwing in his job as a London bus driver in 2007.
