Bazy Tankersley was a devoted and loyal friend of the Arabian horse and a world-renowned breeder of quality horses. She passed away in 2013 at the age of 91, leaving a legacy of over 2,700 purebred foals and a breeding program that improved the breed with classic Arabian type, willing dispositions, and athletic ability. She also supported the preservation and promotion of the Arabian horse breed through her Al-Marah Arabians and the Al-Marah Arabian Horse Galleries.
