Beryl Ingham (1901 – 24 December 1960) was the wife and manager of singer/actor George Formby, as well as being a variety performer and champion clogdancer . She was born in Haslingden, Lancashire, the youngest daughter of John James Ingham and his wife Elizabeth Ann ( née Jackson).

In 1922 whilst playing a date in Castleford, George met a young dancer on the same theatre bill named Beryl Ingham. Beryl was appearing in a dancing act with her sister May. George fell in love with Beryl and they married in 1924. It is to Beryl that we must thank for the emergence of George Formby as one of Britain’s greatest entertainers.
George Formby met Beryl Ingham when they were playing in Castleford in 1923. She and her sister were a clog-dancing speciality "The Two Violets". Beryl's first impression of George and his talent was rather low but George was obviously attracted to Beryl and he persued her until she agreed to marry him in September 1924.
